Patient Parenting 101

4 weeks to a more patient, happier you –
and less tantrums and yelling.

You deserve to parent without all the yelling.

You’re a good person – you know you are. But when it comes to parenting? Yeah, that’s not going how you’d like. You know you want parenting to be enjoyable and rewarding. You want to connect to your kids and enjoy the short time you have them. You want to parent in a different way than you are now.

But feeling like a “good” parent seems so far away when you…

  • Constantly lose your patience and snap at your kids even when you try so hard to stay calm. You promise yourself every morning that today WILL be the day you don’t yell. Spoiler alert: it never is.
  • Have acknowledged and validated your kid until your blue in the face and it is NOT working. Sometimes, it even makes things worse. There has to be a better way to relate to your child (there is!).
  • Secretly dream of bedtime (not theirs – yours) so you can just escape this never-ending nightmare. Why can’t you just enjoy the time you have with your kids? You can… you just have to know how!
  • Feel like your kids hold all the power because you often find yourself bribing or even begging them for cooperation.
  • Think having a child who listens to you the first time must be an urban legend. A myth. Because it’s never happened for you but gosh, that would be AMAZING!
UGH! Sometimes it feels like this parenting thing is a never-ending cycle of torture!
I get it. You want to feel like a successful, have-it-all-together parent. Guess what? I did too. And now I do. As a parent with a (used to be) short fuse and a high-spirited child, I know how difficult it can be to parent the way you want to parent and get the results you want to get from your kids. I went from screaming at my oldest child on a multiple-times-a-day daily basis to learning how to get through to her and create the behavior I wanted (out of both of us) in a matter of days!
I know that doesn’t seem possible… but it is! Simple tweaks in your parenting strategy can make a HUGE difference in the way your kids respond to you.
Truth bomb: Patience in Parenting doesn’t come naturally.

Helloooo you!

I’m Cati Winkel, ex-yeller and pro-patience-loser turned empowered, confident, and patient parent.

Just think of me as the parenting truth-teller who gets to the bottom of why all that parenting advice DOESN’T work and hacks it into working for anyone.

Imagine me, 18 months ago, looking down at my 3ish/not-quite-4-year old, having no idea why the things I read in all those parenting books were not working on her.

Validate her,” they said, “acknowledge her,” they said, “give her empathy,” they said, and “get on her level.”

I just wanted to scream, “I AM DOING ALL OF THAT! So why is this not working?!”

Penny is the kind of kid, who, when you validate and give her empathy, it makes her realize what she’s missing out on and it makes her even more mad.

We couldn’t leave the house without some sort of tantrum, even for the things she wanted to do.

When I say tantrum, EPIC.

EPIC is the only way to describe what it used to be like. After one tantrum, I left my car running at the gym for an HOUR AND A HALF because I was so rattled.

I was desperate to turn things around.

So desperate, in fact, that I invested several thousands to figure out the mistakes I was making.

Within days of starting my certification program, I learned things I could use with my daughter that actually helped her to hear me …she became agreeable.

Easy, even. And fun to be around again.

That money I spent – totally worth it. And I’d do it again in a minute.

Not just because now I get to help other parents solve the same challenges I was facing, but the peace of mind that comes with parenting mindfully, and with patience, is priceless.

I’ve condensed the most effective tactics of what I’ve learned into actionable steps that will get you results within days.

Listen, I know your busy. You don’t have time to sort through hours and hours and hours of information because you need results like YESTERDAY.

And you definitely don’t have time for all of that stuff that doesn’t work.

I hear you, and that’s why I created Patient Parenting 101. A 4-week course jam-packed with information you can actually start using to see results tomorrow… not weeks or months from now. NOW!

Here’s what you’ll learn during Patient Parenting 101:

Manage anger — yours and your kids’

That’s right. You’ll not only learn how to manage your own anger, so you can learn to be patient, but you’ll learn how to help your child manage theirs too. Goodbye yelling matches, hello calm.

Prevent most tantrums from ever starting

This module has been called a “game changer” and the “best parenting advice ever” by one of my students. Forget learning how to end the tantrum (we do that too, by the way) – what if the tantrum never started in the first place?! Miracles can happen!

Keep your patience in the heat of the moment

You know when you’ve crossed the point of no return and find yourself on the rampage? This one tool will help you learn how to prevent that from ever happening. You got this!

Shorten tantrums that do happen

Kids are still kids, after all. They’re going to get mad and tantrums will still happen. When they do, you’ll know exactly how to handle it, so they can calm down sooner, and you don’t lose your mind. Hallelujah!

Join Patient Parenting 101 and you’ll get:

Weekly lessons you can watch at your convenience  (a $150 value)

Lessons are delivered right to your inbox, and are around 15 minutes! Watch at your convenience, and after a few days we’ll discuss the lessons as a group. I know you’re busy so I make this easy for you!

Worksheets and journal assignments (a $200 value)

Worksheets (optional, but recommended) will help you identify the patterns that keep you from being patient in the first place, so you can get to the root of why you lose your cool. Imagine how powerful it would be to not only be able to change your behavior – but to also know why it’s happening in the first place!

Patient Parenting 101 Community! (PRICELESS!)

The private Facebook group is your go-to spot for support, questions, and conversations with parents just like you who can share your struggles, celebrate your wins, and make you feel less alone on this journey.

PLUS, Because I know you’ll have more questions and unique challenges in our 4 weeks together, you’ll get BONUS! Live Coaching Calls! (a $600 value)

Live Zoom conference calls allow you to get your specific questions answered! This is the only way to get on my calendar for help without being a private client. For my past students, these weekly calls have been just as beneficial, and even more so, as the weekly lessons.

– Mandi

It’s been rewarding, and I feel empowered…

“I’m able to be mindful about how I’m responding in those challenging situations and keeping my cool, which was not happening very often before I started this. That’s a big change from when we first started. I now feel like I have some knowledge and some practical tools. I really enjoyed the way you presented information so it was easy to apply those lessons in my day.”

Frequently Asked Questions:

If I can’t make any of the live trainings, is this course still right for me?

Yes! You’ll have access to the replays of the trainings to watch at your convenience. It’s good for you to go ahead and plan to make time each week to watch the trainings and do the worksheets so you get the most out of the course.

I’m too busy/ I don’t have childcare/ I (insert excuse here), can I make this course work in my hectic life?

If you want it bad enough, you can. If you’re going to lead with excuses why it won’t work, you’ll always find a reason it won’t. I have clients who have no help with their kids, work 40+ hours a week, travel internationally, etc. The truth is: you find the time when it’s important. You know you need to do this now. Not when you have the time. Not “someday”. NOW. So jump in and let’s do this together.

What if I have a unique child/situation with my child that doesn’t fit in the “norm”? Will this work for me?

That depends. I teach broad concepts and get to the root of problems. That way, you can apply my advice to your unique situation and your individual child and parent relationship. I won’t give you a list of do this and don’t do this items because that never works. This can work for you if you do the work. Plus, I hold weekly live conferences on Zoom where you can bring your questions and challenges and get advice just for you. I’m committed to helping you transform your parenting.
